The Seattle Advantage also places us in one of the world’s most beautiful natural environments. Day trips from campus lead to waterfalls, ice caves, totem poles, tide pools, and floating bridges. Students explore inland Salish Sea waters by kayak or ferryboat.
SPU’s two island campuses provide rest and research options. Enjoy retreats and workshops at seaside Camp Casey on Whidbey Island. And on Blakely Island’s 965-acre environmental preserve, students study life above and below the sea.
